The short version
Your photos, tenant names, addresses, comments, and reports never leave your device. We don’t receive them, and we can’t see them.
We collect only what you give us when you register (such as your name and email), and the basic technical information any website receives. We don’t use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell or share your personal information.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how [Company legal name] (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with the EZ² Inspect app (the “App”), the website at ez2-inspect.com, and related services (together, the “Services”). It applies to the Services we operate, not to the separate records you create with the App.
2. Information that stays on your device
Everything you create in the App stays on your device: photographs, photo stamps, tenant names, unit addresses, inspection checklists, comments, repair entries, and reports. It is not uploaded to our servers, and we do not receive copies.
Location. If you turn on GPS stamps, your device reads its location to print coordinates on your photographs. The location is used only on your device; it is not sent to us.
Reports you share. When you send or save a report, it goes where you choose (for example, email, text, or your files) under that service’s terms. We are not involved.
Tenants and other people in reports. If you are a tenant or other person whose information appears in a report made with the App, that report is controlled by the landlord or property manager who made it, not by us. Please contact them about it.
3. Information we collect
Registration information. When you register on our website, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, and, if you provide them, your company or property name, phone number, your role, the approximate number of units you manage, and the plan you are interested in. We also record that you agreed to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, and when.
Messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically receives technical information when you visit the website or open the App, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages or files requested, and the date and time. The App’s time check asks our website for the current time; it sends no content from the App.
Payment information (future). When paid subscriptions begin, payments will be handled by Stripe or another payment provider. We will receive limited information such as your subscription status and the last four digits of your card, but not your full card number.
Information on your device. The App keeps your settings, your acceptance of the Terms, and your work in your browser’s storage on your device. This information is not sent to us.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to: provide and operate the Services; set up and manage your free trial and any subscription; communicate with you about your registration, subscription, support requests, and changes to the Services, the Terms, or this policy; keep the Services secure and prevent misuse; and comply with the law.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
5. How we share information
We share personal information only with:
• Service providers who help us run the Services, such as our website hosting provider (which also receives registration forms), our email provider, and, when subscriptions begin, our payment provider. They may use the information only to provide services to us. • Authorities or others when required by law or legal process, or when needed to protect rights, safety, or the security of the Services. • A buyer or successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business or the App, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Cookies, tracking, and “Do Not Track”
The website and the App do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and no third parties collect information about your online activities over time or across other websites through our Services. Because we do not track you across websites, we do not change our practices in response to “Do Not Track” browser signals; there is no such tracking to turn off.
7. How long we keep information
We keep registration and subscription information while you are registered or subscribed and for up to [retention period] afterward, or longer if the law requires (for example, tax records). Our hosting provider keeps technical logs for a limited time under its own policies.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask to review, correct, or delete the registration information we hold about you by emailing [support email]. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
California residents. If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to ask us to delete or correct it; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you a right to limit it. To make a request, email [support email]. We will verify your request using the email address you registered with.
Information on your device is under your control: you can delete it in the App or by clearing your browser’s data for the App.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the information we hold, and our website is served only over encrypted (https) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Because your work stays on your device, its security also depends on your device’s passcode and settings.
10. Children
The Services are for business use by adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at ez2-inspect.com/privacy with a new effective date. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by email before they take effect.
